This presentation focuses on methods project managers can use to break silos in a conglomerate with wide ranging business interests by using soft skills and and by communicating with stakeholders taking into consideration legacy issues, industries involved and demographics of stakeholders; with the use of some case studies.
Ms. Shabnam Mehta (Sam) is Head – Group Administration, Aditya Birla Group Thailand and also handles the External Affairs portfolio. She has managed operations and her project portfolio is diverse – from software to infrastructure. She is instrumental in implementing projects in India for the Group’s Travel, Duty of Care, Crisis Management, Facility Management and defining the Group’s standards and policies in these areas during her role in India.
She was certified for PMP in 2017 which is renewed till 2023. A Masters in Human Resources, an English Major and a Hotel management professional, she was given full scholarship to complete a course in Strategy from the Columbia Business School. She was awarded with the Aditya Birla Group Chairman’s Distinguished Achiever Award in 2014. Her prior industry experience has been with ITC Hotels, Lowe Lintas & CB Richard Ellis.
