Navigating Stakeholder Dynamics in Global Projects: Mitigating Risks Across Language, Culture, and Time Zones

  • October 16, 2025 - 6:00pm
  • Four Points by Sheraton 566 Ploenchit Road Lumpini, Bangkok 10330, Thailand

Navigating Stakeholder Dynamics in Global Projects: Mitigating Risks Across Language, Culture, and Time Zones underscores the pivotal role of stakeholder engagement in ensuring project success. Drawing on over two decades of project management experience, it highlights how leveraging soft skills, particularly communication, empathy, and cultural intelligence, can positively influence project schedules, budgets, and team cohesion in an ever-shrinking global working environment.

Grounded in the PMBOK® Guide (7th Edition) and supported by contemporary studies and industry research, the session explores common causes of project failure, such as biases, miscommunication, unclear expectations, and insufficient stakeholder alignment. It further illustrates how proactive stakeholder analysis, coupled with sensitivity and understanding of cultural differences, can mitigate these risks.

Through some real-world examples of varying stakeholder styles, the presentation demonstrates practical frameworks and tools to manage cross-cultural teams more effectively. Audience engagement is integral: participants will be encouraged to honestly share their own experiences, making the session an interactive one and providing everyone a meaningful learning opportunity.
