Khun Chaiyod Chirabowornkul is a Chief Customer Officer, Executive Vice President of Total Access Communication Plc. (DTAC). In his current role, he is responsible for directing and managing all the customer groups including Call Center, Branded Retail Business, Device Business, Distribution and Customer Strategy.
Khun Chaiyod has been with DTAC for 8 years. He first started as a Group Director of Marketing responsible for marketing strategy. He then became Senior Vice President and Commercial Development Head responsible for the ‘Refill Business’ for all Prepaid card services with responsibility of refill revenue. He was also the Postpaid Business Head and Head of Distribution responsible for all Sales and Distribution for DTAC with main accountability on all new subscriber sales of more than 1.4 million new subscribers per month in consumer and corporate markets. He was also responsible for Total Prepaid Refill Revenue of more than 4 billion Baht per month.
Prior to joining DTAC in June 2002, Chaiyod served as Senior Vice President of Hutchison CAT Wireless Multimedia Ltd. (HCWML). In that role, he was responsible for Marketing Strategy and Planning. The achievements of the work include introducing and developing the Hutch brand and positioning it as the leader of wireless multimedia service providers.
Previously in December 1999, Chaiyod served as Retail Strategy and Development Manager of Shell Oil Products. His responsibilities included: developing a new mobile telephony initiative for Shell as well as creation of MVNO business / financial model. He also served as an East Zone eBusiness Manager responsible for the development of various eCommerce initiatives for Shell in East Zone.
Chaiyod holds a bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Chulalongkorn University and earned a Masters’ Degree in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University. In addition, he holds a Master of Engineering Management from University of Missouri-Rolla. He is currently enrolled in the PhD program (Business Administration) at Kasetsart University
