What do you do when you are asked to rescue a project that is losing USD10 million a week? Where do you start? How do you go about rescuing the critical milestones, the budget and pulling the team together in a positive way? This presentation discussed how to bring into play the techniques for bringing about desired outcomes in projects going astray.
It also addressed areas of identifying risks of complex projects, assessing and mitigating risks and allocating responsibility for risks on complex projects. In addition to dealing with projects that are already in jeopardy, the presentation also included a review of some simple steps for reducing recurring risk when recovering projects and opportunities to prevent issues before complex projects begin.
