PMI Thailand Chapter members and interested professionals,
Project Management is for everyone! It’s not only for project managers, coordinators, program managers, senior managers, or engineers. It’s for everyone wishing to better organize what they do on a day-to-day basis. It is for students who want to better organize their study activities. It is for athletes who want to meet targets within given constraints (such as time). Project Management is basically better organization of activities and tasks. Working within constraints and assumptions puts more pressure on anyone to deliver within expectations. Why should anyone think project management is only necessary for experienced professionals?
You do not need any experience to learn about managing yourself or managing your life as a project. It’s only when you consider PMI certification that you need three years’ experience managing projects. This is exactly what we are striving to do with our project management community in Thailand. Our goals are to encourage project management practices in companies, schools, non-profit organizations, state enterprise, and households. Do you have to be PMP certified before you qualify to join our PMI Thailand Chapter? Do you have to be a project manager before you consider joining our events and activities? The answer is ‘no’ to both questions.
Having said that, I invite you to join our activities and events and invite your colleagues, friends, acquaintances, or anyone who’s interested in learning and personal development. I’d also like to thank everyone who participates in our organized activities and I hope and pray 2016 brings about new ventures and ‘growth’ opportunities for our project management community in Thailand.
