For the past 10 years Agile Project Management has been renowned, and recently a lot of companies in Thailand have been interested in transforming themselves from Traditional Project Management to Agile Project Management. However, only a few companies were successful in transforming themselves and even less that can make it sustainable. What exactly is Agile Project Management? Can it be used in large organizations with more complicated products? What are the benefits of Agile Project Management, especially in E-commerce industry? What are the obstacles in transforming into one? And how to make Agile Project Management sustainable in the organization?
Setsiri is an Information Technology project/program manager, Agile coach, and has been PMP certified since May 2005 with over 16 years of experience managing full lifecycle IT (software and network) and high profile projects involving many development sites from different time zones. She is also a consultant for 4 Minds Co., Ltd. which is a small herbs and spices business and currently runs her own business.
Previously in Oct 2003, she joined Thomson Reuters leading IT development teams for Financial and Banking product, Dealing 3000, which had generated circa 2/3 of company revenue exceeding $160 billion per annum. She had managed multiple projects across functional teams of network, hardware, and software development within Bangkok and across
virtual teams in Hauppauge (USA), Geneva, Singapore, and London. She had worked in a implementation and client site support team, Payment and Cash Management – Corporate banking, HongKong and Shanghai Bank (HSBC) in Thailand.
Subsequently she worked with the HSBC Philippines implementation team and launched an Internet Banking system for HSBC Thailand for the first time.
