It is our great pleasure to invite you on February 20 to join our panel discussion on the topic of “Project Management Practices in the Hospitality Industry”. The speaker in the panel will be Mr. Benjamin Krieg, General Manager of the Novotel Bangkok Sukhuvmit 20 and Area General Manager for Thailand. We will discuss various topics related to all ten knowledge areas in the Project Management Body of Knowledge. We will learn more about the hotel development industry and what it takes to manage such projects. Samples of the questions discussed during the panel include:

- What environmental factors most significantly limit your role as project manager delivering a hotel development project?
- What factors facilitate your role?
- What are key critical success factors for project success in such industry?
Benjamin Krieg, General Manager of Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20 for the past 3+ years is a seasoned hospitality executive with more than 20 years of experience in Asia Pacific. Most recently Benjamin’s role expanded to include additional responsibilities as Area General Manager Thailand – Midscale & Economy Hotels with AccorHotels. Prior to joining Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20, Benjamin held several General Manager positions at hotels in Bangkok as well as across Australia including two pre-opening General Manager roles. Prior to that, he held various operational executive roles within AccorHotels Australia and at the group’s corporate office across a span of now almost 15 years with the company. Benjamin holds an advanced Diploma in International Hotel Management from the Swiss Hotel Association, International College of Hotel Management and a Diplôme Culinaire d’Hôtelier from Le Cordon Bleu. He remains committed to developing programs to enhance and increase the interaction between hotel schools, high school graduates and the hotel industry in the communities in which he has worked throughout his career.
