Is business development a Project Manager’s duty? It is if they want to move forward to the next project. Are Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) issues a Project Manager’s concern? They are if the project is to be completed on-time and under budget. Can SHE be a driver in business development? The liabilities of a lacking safety program are known; but the opportunities in providing SHE services are routinely overlooked. This presentation will review projects with SHE issues; how they were identified and the solutions provided. By injecting safety into your tenders, contracts and service agreements you can generate additional income to your project, minimize unforeseen costs and provide cohesion among stakeholders during major incidents. The session will end with an open discussion on SHE and the PMI – Project Management Body of Knowledge. The presenter will be available after the meeting to answer specific questions on your projects
