This month’s esteemed speaker will be sharing his proprietary methodology – “Driving Instruction”, that uses process orientation to ensure high performance, high quality, sustainable, repeatable and scalable processes. Using an interesting example of a car navigating a busy highway, the speaker will share insights gleaned from many years of practical experience on how to navigate successfully in an ever changing world that we inhabit.
N. Rajashekaran (or Shekar, as he is more popularly known) has assumed the position of Country Business Manager, Global Consumer Group, Citi Thailand in July 2011.
Prior to this assignment, he headed the global consumer banking business for Citi in India as the Country Business Manager from June 2008, where he was responsible for all retail businesses including the Retail & Commercial Bank, Cards, Non Resident Indian banking, Citi Wealth Advisors, and CitiFinancial. A seasoned banker with over 26 years of global experience in Corporate Banking, Risk, Treasury and Business Management, Shekar joined Citi over thirteen years ago. In his tenure at Citi, Shekar has headed various key portfolios in Citi Japan and Korea. Prior to his role in India, Shekar held the position of Chief Risk Officer of Citibank Korea Inc overseeing credit and market risk management functions for the entire portfolio.
Shekar began his career with Bank of America in 1985 as part of the team that built the consumer banking portfolio for the bank in India. In 1999, Shekar moved on to integrate this portfolio with ABN Amro as Consumer Banking Head. Growing up in Delhi, Shekar obtained his B.E. (Mech) from Delhi College of Engineering and his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
