A Project Manager Contribution to Sales

Driving revenue and generating growth is at the center of companies’ business objectives. Companies focus on effective Sales strategies and business processes to generate growth and drive future development. This presentation focuses on ‘Effective Sales Strategies’ and shares strategies Project Managers could follow to effectively become a driving force for change within companies. This is especially true when companies are establishing policies on acquisition of products and services. Through professional communication and negotiation skills, project managers may influence long-term strategic decisions and may also help drive sales strategies and eventually close ‘handsome’ deals.

Khun Subhankar Sharma, PMP has 20 years of Information Technology (ERP- SAP, Oracle, Intergraph) and Mechanical Engineering experience across various industries. He is currently a ‘General Manager’ at Neon Infotech South East Asia Company Limited, Thailand – a sole distributor and implementer of Engineering Software Solutions.

Subhankar has worked in different industries internationally including: Automotive, Logistics, Pulp and Paper, Oil and Gas, Electronics and Hi-Tech, Food and Beverages, Healthcare, Petrochemicals and IT-Services and has been involved in various ERP implementations (SAP and Oracle) for major companies including but not limited to: GE Toshiba Silicones (China), Philips Medical Systems (South Africa), and DSM Gist Brocades (Netherlands).

Before joining Neon, Subhankar was responsible for Regional Program Management activities of the Toyota Oracle ERP Implementation project.  Prior to joining Oracle, Subhankar had worked in Advance Agro Company Limited and was also involved in PTT Public Limited Company (IS-Oil) ERP Implementation.

Subhankar has been a member of PMI Bangkok Chapter since February 2007.  He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), SAP Certified Solution Manager, Lead Assessor (ISO 9001) and Chartered Engineer (India).   Subhankar holds Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) degree from the North Bengal University in India
