Opening Remarks and Welcome

The PMI Thailand Chapter Annual General Meeting brought together members, volunteers, and partners for an evening focused on governance, achievements, and community engagement. The event opened with welcome remarks by Klaus Rappolt, President of the PMI Thailand Chapter for the 2024 to 2026 term. He welcomed members and formally opened the meeting, setting a positive and professional tone for the evening.

Annual General Elections

The first major agenda item was the Annual General Elections. The Nominations Committee presented the full slate of nominees for the Board of Directors for the 2026 to 2028 term. Voting members motioned and seconded the proposal, followed by a formal vote. The slate was approved by the members.

The Chapter congratulated the newly appointed Board of Directors for the 2026 to 2028 term and thanked the Nominations Committee for leading a transparent and structured election process.

Approval of Updated Bylaws

Members then moved to the approval of the updated PMI Thailand Chapter Bylaws. The proposed updates included alignment with the new PMI Single Membership Model scheduled to take effect in February 2026.

The Chapter explained the implications for local operations and confirmed the need to work closely with Thai government authorities to ensure compliance with national regulations and policies. Members approved the Bylaws in principle, subject to final confirmation by the relevant authorities. Follow-up actions will begin in 2026.

Dinner and Networking

All 74 participants then enjoyed dinner and networking, providing members and guests with an opportunity to reconnect, exchange ideas, and strengthen professional relationships within the PMI Thailand community.

Chapter Satisfaction Survey Results

During the evening, Dr. Petros Rigas presented the results of the Chapter Satisfaction Survey conducted toward the end of the year. The results showed more than 90 percent overall satisfaction.

Members shared no negative feedback, reflecting strong confidence in the Chapter’s direction, activities, and leadership.

Project of the Year Award 2025

One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the Project of the Year Award 2025.

Thai Nippon Steel Engineering and Construction received the award for delivering a complex industrial project with strong governance, disciplined execution, and effective risk management. The project demonstrated clear alignment with PMI standards and delivered measurable business value through innovation and effective reuse of existing assets.

A Special Recognition Award was also presented to Terahop Thailand. The project was recognized for its contribution to advanced technology infrastructure, strong stakeholder coordination, and positive impact on Thailand’s digital ecosystem. The recognition acknowledged both technical excellence and professional project management practices.

Review of Chapter Activities and Financial Summary

The meeting then moved to a detailed review of Chapter activities throughout the year. Members revisited monthly lectures, professional workshops, and field trips delivered by the Chapter.

The leadership team also presented a financial summary covering income, expenses, and the overall financial health of the Chapter. Members were invited to raise questions and expressed full satisfaction with the reports presented.

Recognition of Certification Achievements

The evening continued with the Recognition of Certification Achievements. Certificates were presented to members who earned PMP, PMI-ACP, and other PMI certifications during the year.

Long-standing members received special recognition flags for maintaining PMP certification for more than five years and for their active involvement with the Chapter. Members with more than ten years of continuous membership also received commemorative flags in appreciation of their long-term commitment and support.

Lucky Draw and Closing

The event concluded with an energetic lucky draw featuring gift baskets and special prizes, followed by group photos and informal networking among participants.

The AGM closed on a high note, reflecting a strong, engaged, and growing PMI Thailand Chapter community committed to advancing project management excellence in Thailand.
