These Terms of Use govern your use of the PMI Thailand Chapter website, digital resources, event registrations, the PMI Thailand Store, and any related services and content made available by the PMI Thailand Chapter (the Chapter, we, us, or our). By accessing or using any of our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
PMI Thailand Chapter is an officially chartered chapter of the Project Management Institute, Inc. (PMI Global). These Terms of Use apply specifically to services and content provided by the Chapter. For services and content provided directly by PMI Global, including pmi.org, PMI certifications, standards, and PMI membership, please refer to PMI Global’s own terms at www.pmi.org.
1. Scope of agreement
These Terms apply to all individuals and entities who access or use the Chapter’s website, digital resources, event content, store resources, lecture materials, session recordings, and any other services we make available (collectively, the Chapter Services).
The Chapter may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Changes take effect when they are published on this website with a revised effective date. Continued use of Chapter Services after an update means you accept the revised terms.
2. Intellectual property
2.1 PMI Global intellectual property
PMI Global retains exclusive ownership of PMI standards, frameworks, methodologies, certification content, examination materials, study guides, trademarks, and any other intellectual property bearing the PMI name or brand.
- PMI standards and frameworks, such as PMBOK® Guide and Agile Practice Guide
- PMI certification content and exam materials, including PMP®, CAPM®, PMI-ACP®, Pg MP®, Pf MP®, and related credentials
- The PMI name, logo, certification marks, and associated trademarks
- Educational content distributed or licensed directly through PMI Global
The PMI Thailand Chapter makes no claim of ownership over PMI Global intellectual property. If you want to reproduce, distribute, or otherwise use PMI Global material, please seek permission directly from PMI Global at www.pmi.org.
2.2 PMI Thailand Chapter intellectual property
The following materials are owned by or licensed to the PMI Thailand Chapter (Chapter IP):
- Monthly lecture and event presentations, slides, notes, and handouts produced by or delivered under the Chapter’s auspices
- Session recordings, whether audio or video, from lectures, panels, and Chapter events
- Chapter-produced newsletters, reports, strategic plans, promotional materials, and website content
- Event-related marketing, communications, and digital publishing assets
Where a speaker presents at a Chapter event, the speaker retains ownership of their own original intellectual property, but grants the Chapter a licence to use the presentation materials in connection with the event, replay access, and event documentation unless a separate written agreement states otherwise.
You may not reproduce, distribute, republish, transmit, modify, or create derivative works from Chapter IP without prior written permission from the Chapter.
3. Lecture materials and event content
3.1 Presentation materials
The Chapter may make lecture materials available to registered attendees in digital format where the presenting speaker has consented to sharing them. Availability is not guaranteed and depends on:
- the speaker’s consent to share the material
- confidentiality or licensing restrictions
- technical or operational constraints at the time of distribution
Materials are provided for personal educational use only. They may not be redistributed, commercially exploited, or used in any way that conflicts with these Terms.
3.2 Session recordings
The Chapter may record monthly lectures and events where the presenting speaker has explicitly consented to recording.
Access to session recordings is limited to:
- registered attendees of the specific event, for the period communicated by the Chapter
- users who separately purchase viewing rights for that recording
Access to recordings is time-limited. Once the communicated access period has expired, the Chapter does not guarantee continued availability. Recordings may not be downloaded, screenshotted, redistributed, re-broadcast, or shared beyond the individual user’s authorised access.
4. PMI Thailand Store
The PMI Thailand Store is a service for members and the broader project management community in Thailand. It may offer books, educational resources, and selected materials, sometimes at discounted pricing for current PMI Thailand Chapter members.
- Member pricing is available only to users with a current and active PMI Thailand Chapter membership.
- All books and resources remain subject to the copyright and intellectual property rights of their publishers, authors, or licensors.
- Purchases are generally non-refundable unless the item is defective, access cannot be delivered, or a delivery error has occurred. Please also review the Refund and Rescheduling Policy.
- The Chapter may change pricing, product availability, and offered resources at any time without prior notice.
- PMI Global publications sold through the Store remain the intellectual property of PMI Global.
5. Permitted and prohibited use
Chapter Services are provided for lawful, personal, and educational purposes only. You agree not to:
- reproduce, republish, or distribute Chapter content without written permission
- share, transfer, or sell access credentials for recordings or protected resources
- record, screenshot, or capture streamed content without prior written consent
- use Chapter content commercially, including resale or inclusion in paid training products, without a separate licence agreement
- misrepresent your affiliation with the Chapter or PMI Global
- transmit unlawful, defamatory, abusive, or objectionable material through any Chapter communication channel
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Chapter’s digital systems or resources
6. PMI trademarks and branding
PMI trademarks, including PMI®, PMP®, CAPM®, PMI-ACP®, the PMI logo, and related certification marks, are registered trademarks of the Project Management Institute, Inc. They may not be used without PMI Global’s prior written permission.
The PMI Thailand Chapter name and logo are used under authority granted by PMI Global through the Chapter charter. Third parties may not use the Chapter’s name, logo, or branding in promotional, advertising, or commercial contexts without written approval.
7. Privacy and data
The Chapter collects and processes personal data such as name, email address, membership status, purchase information, and event registration details for the purpose of administering memberships, events, products, and communications. Data is handled in accordance with the Chapter’s Privacy Policy and applicable Thai data protection law.
By registering for events or purchasing through the PMI Thailand Store, you consent to the Chapter using your contact details for relevant operational communications. You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time through the unsubscribe link included in those messages.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
Chapter Services, including event materials, recordings, store products, and digital content, are provided on an as is and as available basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
The Chapter does not guarantee that:
- presentation materials will always be available after an event
- session recordings will be free from technical interruptions or playback issues
- store products will remain continuously available
- content shared at events is free from error or reflects the official position of the Chapter
The views expressed by guest speakers are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of the PMI Thailand Chapter or PMI Global.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the PMI Thailand Chapter, its officers, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Chapter Services, including loss of data, inability to access materials or recordings, or reliance on content provided at Chapter events.
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with Chapter Services is to discontinue use of those Services.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Thailand.
