To stay ahead of competition, many organisations are implementing changes and improvements in the way they execute strategy. To implement change successfully, it is important to strategically align an organization’s executive objectives with the initiatives planned to execute the strategy in place. It is challenging for project managers to secure executive support for the implementation of their projects while ensuring such deliveries are aligned with the organizational strategy taking into consideration the ongoing organizational changes.
In this presentation, the speaker will focus on how to enable project management practices by engaging and empowering middle management as well as the stakeholders involved in the change initiative. Strategic PMOs responsible for the implementation or support of such strategic changes should consider various key factors such as company cultures and resource constraints. They should also empower and provide incentives to employees to promote accountability through result management. The establishment of project management practices and milestone planning and execution are essential for implementation of such change initiatives organization-wide.
