Data Driven Decision Making For Project Managers

The abundance of data available to businesses today is staggering. Modern day Project Managers should move beyond subjective decision making when important decisions arise. This presentation aims to explain simple yet important concepts and techniques for making data driven decisions. Data driven decision making can first and foremost be done through understanding the experience and knowledge from others but only quality information should be used. Program Managers will learn how to assess the quality of information found on the Internet. Your own data is also a good source for making important decisions. The second part of this presentation is designed to help Project Managers understand how to conduct simple data analysis from your own data sources. These techniques can help you transform large amounts of information into easily understood summaries that can be used to inform important decisions for your project and your organization. The session will conclude with a question and answer period which is open to all data analysis related questions.
