From Sun Tzu to Saapurisa – Dhamma 7: How to Deploy Various Aspects in Project Management

Notwithstanding Project Management principles explicitly stated in textbooks, there are many aspects, strategies, tactics and methodologies that can be integrated with Project Administration.  From the ISO27001 Implementation to Service Management and from the Chinese Military Strategist ‘s philosophy to the Principles of Bhudda-dhamma, implementation of project management methodologies depend on how we comprehend and apply core concepts for managing projects in the industry.

Khun Viroth Chokevivattana has spent most of his 20 years designing, implementing and developing software. His experience is involved the application of processes including COSO, Risk Management, Process Improvement, ITIL, BS7799-Information Security, Project Management and ISO 9001:2000.

His current role is that of First Vice President of Export-Import Bank of Thailand. Khun Viroth is responsible for managing and implementing IT standards, which includes Change Management and business structure improvement through the application of a Project Management Methodology. Prior to this role, he served as senior executive in various organizations including Fujitsu (Thailand), Smart Comtech and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Khun Viroth’s managerial and professional system consulting skills have been acquired through coaching, strategy mapping, performance evaluation, SWOT analysis for software selection, and organizational process re-engineering. Khun Viroth studied in England and the USA and has a Master of Science in Applied Statistics from the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) and a Bachelor of Science in General Science from Kasetsart University.
