Information Security in Project Management

Information Security is one important issue all project managers should appreciate, understand, and plan for during the early stages of any project. Information security is not only limited to IT projects but it also applies to projects in various types of applications and industries. For example, as a company considers building major and critical infrastructure or study and plan new product development, information security should be considered and understood before starting.   During this session, the presenter will discuss and explain what information security is and the practices for identifying information security risks or issues related in projects. Moreover the presentation will also include methods that project managers use to identify and control risks related to information security. Best practices and standards including ISO2700X (Guide on Information Security Controls) will also be introduced and discussed. Finally, the session will end with an open discussion to provide an opportunity to share and answer specific questions on your projects.

SupachaiSupachai Pamornchaisirikit is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and PMI member with Master’s Degree from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. He has been working in IT security more than 10 years and was a Chief Technology Officer at S-Generation and a Principle Consultant at ACIS Professional Center. He also was Tuv-Nord qualified trainer for ISMS-LA. He has experience managing large consulting ISMS projects successfully for large enterprises such as Counter Service, PTT ICS Solution, Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital and EGAT. Now, He is working at Wisdom Center Co.,Ltd  in position of a principle consultant. He is responsible for managing and leading consulting projects related to Information Security Management System, Service Management System and Business Continuity Management System.
