Requirements Elicitation Techniques

“If you don’t get the requirement right, it doesn’t matter how well you execute the rest of project”. Many projects still fail to meet goals, and poor requirements elicitation accounts to 37% of project failure. There are various requirement elicitation standards and techniques, but will fancy techniques increase the chance of project success? Or will adopting agile project management rescue you from the dreaded “change request”? In this session, a case study on crowdsourcing of requirement elicitation via gamification will be showcased and observations from agile-based project shared.

AnanyaAnanya Vilaskhamphee is an IT project management professional with experiences in both the private and public sectors. She currently works in Project Management Office at The Stock Exchange of Thailand to support and enable advancement in the organization and also for industry-wide initiatives. Prior to the current role, she worked at Gartner serving large-scale enterprises in Thailand to ensure value is incorporated to their business cases through IT researches. Ananya holds a Masters Degree in Business Information Management from Henley Business School and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Business Analysis from University of California, Irvine. She is a certified PMP® and has been a volunteer with Thailand Chapter serving in programs and education role since 2013.
