Two Perspectives on Project Management

Event Date:April 18, 2012

The Task (Traditional) Perspective vs. the Organizational (Scandinavian) Perspective

Projects are seen from different perspectives. The presentation deals with two very different perspectives. The task perspective sees the project as a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique result, while the organizational perspective looks at the project as a temporary organization set up to carry out an assignment on behalf of the establishing organization.

The two perspectives lead to different ways of planning, organizing, controlling and managing projects. The presentation will stress the importance of being aware of which perspective should dominate your project work.
